University of Tasmania is offering the Support to Study Scholarships for international students who are seeking to undergo a degree program at the institution.
The Support to Study Scholarships is valued at a whopping $8,000 that the selected candidates can utilize towards accommodation and financial support.
The university offers various undergraduate and graduate programs in a range of disciplines, and has links with 20 specialist research institutes and co-operative research centres. Its Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies has strongly contributed to the university’s multiple 5 rating scores (well above world standard) for excellence in research awarded by the Australian Research Council. The university also delivers tertiary education at the Australian Maritime College, the national centre for maritime education, training and research.
The university was formerly ranked in the top 10 research universities in Australia and in the top two per cent of universities worldwide in the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
Eligibility criteria for the Support to Study Scholarships.
• Applicants must be international students who studied an Australian Senior Secondary qualification onshore in Australia in the year prior to commencing study at the University.
• Applicants must meet the course-specific academic and language requirements of the university.
• Applicants must submit scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
• IELTS – 6.0
• TOEFL IBT – 76
• PTE – 50
• CAE- Grade C
• CPE – Grade C
• Cambridge BCE – Grade C
• UTAS English for Academic Purposes – 60%
