Steps to Apply for ABU Post Utme Form

  1. To register, candidates are required to log into https://putme.abu.edu.ng or click on the 2023/2024 Post-UTME Registration link.
  2. Applicants are required to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only as the screening fee.
  3. Payment can be made via Remita using any acceptable debit card (Visa, Verve, and MasterCard) OR by printing the Remita retrieval Reference (RRR) slip and proceeding to any commercial bank. It is not necessary to travel to Zaria to make the payment.
  4. Candidates should report to the designated screening venue indicated on their Post-UTME slip at least one hour before the scheduled time.
  5. Any candidate who fails to appear for the screening exercise on the specified dates will not be considered for admission into the university for the 2023/2024 academic session.
  6. On the day of screening, UTME candidates must bring along the print-out of their schedule slips with the uploaded passport photograph and a printout of the UTME result, which must be submitted during the screening.

Important Notes About the ABU Post UTME Screening

  • Inconsistencies in names or pictures on the Registration Slip are not acceptable to the University and may result in disqualification of affected candidates.
  • Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME Results, and other registration documents must match.
  • Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age or older to be eligible for the exercise.
  • Mobile phones, iPads, iPods, Walkmans, similar gadgets, or any extraneous materials are not allowed into the screening venue and its surroundings.
  • Candidates who are awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission, provided the result will be available at the time of resumption.
  • Candidates must ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded to the JAMB website as soon as possible, as those who fail to do so will not be considered for admission.
  • Candidates must register with their own valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.
  • Candidates must report to the designated screening venues as scheduled on their registration slips or risk disqualification.
  • Registration is done online, so candidates are not required to be physically present on the University Campus. It is advised to register from any location.
  • Candidates who initially chose the University as their second choice but now wish to be considered for admission can apply for the screening exercise only after changing ABU to their First Choice.
  • Parents, guardians, and uninvited security personnel will not be allowed on the campus on the designated date for the screening exercise.
