Qualifications Required:
Professor (Conuass 7):
To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must possess a PhD degree from a recognized Institution with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable National and International Academic Journals. The applicant must have done supervision of Postgraduate students and have at least a minimum of thirteen (13) years cognate teaching experience at the University level. Applicants who are already Readers are eligible to apply for this position. Additionally, the applicant must be member of relevant professional bodies.
Reader (Conuass 6):
To be eligible for appointment, an applicant for this position must be a PhD holder from a recognized Institution. He/she must show evidence of scholarly publications in reputable National and International Academic Journals. In addition, the applicant must have done supervision of Postgraduate students and, must have been a Senior Lecturer with a minimum of ten (10) years cognate teaching experience at the University level. The applicant may be subjected to external assessment if not already a Reader. Applicants must have membership of relevant professional bodies.
Senior Lecturer (Conuass 5):
To be eligible for appointment, an applicant for this position must be a PhD holder from a recognized Institution with eight (8) years cognate teaching experience at the University level. The candidate must have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable National and International Academic Journals.
Lecturer I (Conuass 4):
To be eligible for appointment to this position, an applicant must be a PhD holder from a recognized Institution with three (3) years teaching experience and must have evidence of scholarly publications in reputable Academic Journals.
Lecturer Ii (Conuass 3):
To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must have a PhD degree from a recognized Institution or a Masters Degree with at least three (3) scholarly publications in reputable journals. Applicants currently undergoing PhD programmes shall have an added advantage.
Assistant Lecturer (Conuass 2):
To be eligible for appointment as an Assistant Lecturer, an applicant must be a holder of Masters Degree from a recognized Institution. Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals will be an added advantage.
Method of Application:
Candidates should submit twelve (12) copies of their application, Curriculum Vitae, credentials and supporting documents which will assist the University in the comprehensive assessment of their qualifications, experience and capabilities. The documents should be forwarded in sealed envelopes with the position applied for clearly indicated in the left-hand corner. The applicants should request their three referees to send reports on them under confidential cover, directly to the Registrar.
The referees should also be informed to indicate the names of their candidates and the position applied for, in the left-hand corner of the envelopes in which the references are forwarded. Applications and all supporting documents must reach Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology by 16th May, 2023.
