China travel restriction update in relation to COVID-19 Pandemic with immediate effect:

The pre-departure test is adjusted to one nucleic acid test (PCR test) within 48 hours before boarding the flight.

Passengers originating from Ethiopia and travelling to China from Addis Ababa (ADD) must apply/get for a Green Health Code with a negative result for a COVID‑19 PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure. The test shall be taken at BGI Health Ethiopia.

Hotel quarantine requirement at Addis Ababa (Add) is removed.

All transit/connecting passengers at ADD, must carry a valid Green Health QR code with a negative PCR test result from their respective point of departure, which shall be valid at most 48 hours before departure from ADD to China (transit point).

For those who have previous infection history, close contacts, suspected symptoms, and the test result is “uncertain”, they are no longer subject to additional requirements and they can apply for a health code through submit a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours before boarding.

Passengers must have a Green Health QR code. The code can be obtained at https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ 

All Passengers (Chinese and foreign nationals) must complete an Exit/Entry Health Declaration Form (HDF) and present a QR code before departure. The form can be obtained at, https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn/htdeclweb/home/pages/index/index.html or from the WeChat app ‘Customs passenger Fingertip Service.’
