The Kaduna state scholarship and loan board (KSSLB) has a mandate to identify select and empower qualified citizen of Kaduna state to meet the current and future manpower requirements of the state while remaining globally competitive.
The board placed advertisement in October 2020 and may 2021 for some job position. While suitable candidates were identified for most of the vacant positions, six (6) of the positions are still open. The board is hereby inviting interested persons to apply for the below positions:
- Job title : deputy director of administration
We are seeking an experienced deputy director of Administration with outstanding people skills to manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to our overall objectives .
The ideal candidate for this role should possess good people management skills, strong leadership skills, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, organizational skills, ability to multi task , high work ethics , excellent communication skills knowledge of Nigerian labor regulation and HR practices.
The position holder reports to the director, administration and finance.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in human resources management , business administration , social sciences or related field
- Additional qualification ( preferably a master’s degree) would be an added advantage
- At least ten (10) years post-qualification cognate experience.
- Computer literacy is compulsory
- Job title: deputy director ICT
The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for planning, executing and managing the board’s ICT projects.
The role involves the careful execution of the board’s ICT road map which includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of teams member and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle .
The position holder reports to the director, administration and finace.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent education and/or work experience. At least seven (7) years post-qualification cognate experience in project management or software development capacity, including all aspect of process development and execution.
- Strong familiarity with development environments and tools
- Competent and proficient of business solutions such as Document management, CRMs, business web technology
- Verifiable projects executed in similar domains.
3- Job Title: ICT Officer (GL 12)
The ideal candidates this position will be responsible for providing support to the deputy director in executing and managing technology projects at the board

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or work experience, at least three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience.
- At least four (4) years post-qualification cognate experience in project management or software development capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
- Strong familiarity with development environments and tools
- Competent and proficient of business solutions such as Document management, CRMs, business web technology
- Verifiable projects executed in similar domains.
4- Job Title: Desk Officer, Grants (GL 12)
The Kaduna state scholarship and loans board is looking to fill the position of desk officer, grants. The purpose to this position is to support the director, grants linkage & resource mobilization in increasing the amount of funds and opportunities available to citizens of Kaduna state through partnership with corporations and funders.
The ideal candidates will work with the director, grants, linkage, & resources mobilization to coordinate fund-raising activities targeted at private sector funding, funding from donor agencies and philanthropist amongst others

Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in international affairs, development, international political economy, education or other relevant subject ; master’s degree may be preferred.
- Four (4) years of experience working in grants management and proposal/business development/design.
- Significant knowledge and experience of working in partnership management.
- Prior knowledge of donor compliance regulations.
- Proven record of accomplishment in developing projects, writing proposal and donor reports.
- Good communicator with strong organizational, time management and analytical skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
5. Job Title: Desk Officer Scholarship (GL 12)
The Kaduna State Scholarship is looking to fill the position of desk officer scholarship. Working under supervision of the deputy director scholarship the position holder will act as liaison between the board and the various institution of learning across the country.
The ideal candidates maintain the boards database records of scholarship awards; authenticate students document and status with the various institution, assist with visa requirements, providing letters to students for such purpose according to the terms and conditions of their awards

- Bachelor’s in degree or its equivalent in humanities or other related subjects: Master’s degree may be preferred
- Four (4) years of cognate working experience

6. Job Title: Desk Officer Loans (GL 12)
The Kaduna State Scholarship and loans board to fill the position of desk officer, Loans. Working under the deputy director, Loans Working under supervision of the deputy director, Loans the position holder will support the line manager in the discharge of the unit’s responsibilities
In addition he/she will support in the implementation of effective procedures for the disbursement of loans to deserving applicants, assists in the initial screening process and short listing of application that meet minimum guidelines for the loans program.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in degree or its equivalent in humanities or other related subjects: Master’s degree may be preferred
- Four (4) years of cognate working experience
- Familiarity with policy in the areas of education, youth, gender and employment
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving, conflict and employment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Remuneration: is in accordance with the Kaduna State Civil Service terms and condition of engagement
