What Is NECO?
NECO is responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in Nigeria. These examinations assess the academic performance and qualifications of students in secondary schools and primary schools, respectively. NECO also conducts other specialized examinations such as the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission into federal unity colleges.

Extension of Registration Period for 2023 SSCE
Please be informed that the registration period for the 2023 SSCE has been extended as follows:
- The registration period for the SSCE has been extended to Saturday, 10th June 2023 as against the intial date of 30th May 2023.
With this extension, it is expected that all Schools would have completed their registration appropriately.
