Nigeria Police Academy Wudil Application for Admission into 9th Regular Course of the Degree Programs Commences // 2022

This is to inform the general public that applications are invited from qualified members of the public for admission into the 9th Regular Course Degree Programs of the Nigeria Police Academy, wudil Kano.

Sales of Admission forms:

The online application portal will be opened for the period of six (6) weeks from 1st August, 2022 to 12th September 2022, where prospective applicants are required to complete the online application forms and submit same within the specified period. Admission into the Academy is opened to both male and female Nigerians of good character.  

Admission Requirements:

The admission requirements for the online application are as follows:

  • Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and posses National Identity Number (NIN), JAMB result (2022 only) with not less than 180 marks, and must have selected Nigeria police academy Wudil as first choice in the jamb Form.
  • Applicant must possess of minimum of 6 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO with credit credits passes in Mathematics and English
  • Applicants must be aged between 17 – 22 years by 31st October, 2022
  • Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67m tall for male and .1.64m tall for female.
  • Applicants must not have less than 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurement (for male only)
  • Female applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission
  • Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number
  • SSCE (WAEC/NECO) statement of results or certificate relating to examinations taken before 2017 will not be accepted.

Method of Application

3. Intereted Applicants are advised to go to the Nigeria Police Academy’s website www.polac.edu.ng in order to obtain  generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code, the RRR can be used to make payment of Non-refundable fee of five thousand naira (N5,000) only (N2,000 for POST UTME Examination is included) through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria. This will allow the applicant to fill in the online application form. In addition, applicants are required to upload scanned copy of their WAEC/NECO results (only results printed out with WAEC, NECO result PIN/Card will be accepted), Birth and Certificate of Origin. Applicants must print their completed online form, guarantor form and submit same at the various designated centers nationwide for the automated physical screening exercise.

4. Automated Physical Screening Exercise

a. Invitation of applicants that meet up with the online registration requirements for automated physical screening exercise across the 17 (Seventeen) Zonal Headquarters in the country would be from 19th to 25th September, 2022.

b. Applicants to present the originals of following documents in the automated physical screening exercise:

•             Educational Qualifications

•             Birth certificate/declaration of Age

•             Evidence of physical/mental fitness form a government recognized medical officer.

•             Evidence of good character from village/district head of the applicant

•             Indigene certificate signed by local government chairman or secretary

•             Guarantor form from a public Servant not below GL12, police officer not below the rank of CSP or its equivalent from the armed forces and other paramilitary services.

5. Aptitude Test

The successful Applicants would be made to undergo and aptitude test (computer based) which would be conducted in the Nigeria police Academy, Wudil, ICT center Kano State, on a date to be communicated later.

6 AUTAMATED MEDICAL SCREENING

Applicant who scale through in the Aptitude Test (Computer Based) will be invited for automated Medical Screening which would be conducted in the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.

7. AUTOMATED INTERVIEW/SELECTION EXERCISE

The successful Applicant would further undergo Automated Interview/selection.

8. All successful Applicants will be notified via their email-address and SMS.

9. Training of prospective Applicants will commerce at the Academy on a date to be communicated later.

10. COURCE OF STUDY

Course leading to Bachelors’ degree in the following disciplines are available in the Academy.

A FACULTY OF HUMANITIES: BSc in:

  1. English
  2. History & International Studies
  3. Linguistics

B FACULTY OF SCIENCE: BSc in:

  1. Biochemistry
  2. Biological Science
  3. Chemistry
  4. Computer Science
  5. Forensic Science
  6. Mathematics
  7. Physics

C FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES: BSc in:

  1. Accounting
  2. Economics
  3. Political Science
  4. Psychology
  5. Sociology

11. NATURE AND DURATION OF THE COURSES

Applicants admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil degree course will undergo a combined Academic and Police training for a minimum period of five (5) years leading to Bachelors’ degrees and commission into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP).
